冗談でしょう。

　You're kidding!は「からかっているんでしょう」「冗談でしょう」と言うとき、相手の発言が信じられないとき、相手の発言に驚いたときに使います。
　

A:My brother wants me to play with his band,but I'm not interested.
　弟が彼のバンドで一緒に演奏してほしいらしいけど、興味ないなあ。

B:You're kidding!You play amusical instrument? I didn't know that.
　冗談でしょう。楽器をやるんだっけ。知らなかった。


A:You should study English abroad during the summer vacation.
　夏休みに海外で英語を勉強しなよ。

B:No kidding! Do you really think I'mready for that?
　冗談でしょう。ぼくはそんなのまだ早すぎると思わない。


A:I can't believe my youngere sisiter Miho is already at an advanced level in conversation school.
　妹の美穂が会話学校でもう上級レベルだなんて信じられない。

B:Thet's surprising.Isn't she still very young?
　それは驚きですね。まだずいぶん若いんじゃないですか。
